Back at it again...

To many things keeping me busy, and away from the hobby, but I have managed to get some things done, and get in a couple of games of Blue Max/ Canvas Eagles. I have finished my 1/72 Sopwith Camel, a 1/72 Fokker F.1(Werner Voss's machine)and painted 2 of the bases for Blue Max/ Canvas Eagles.
The main thing bumming me out though, is that i didn't make the time to finish my painting challenge on The Bolter and Chainsword, right now it is a little over half done and the contest ends tomorrow! Oh well, guess I can chalk it up to lack of time and a big lack of inspiration to paint my Black Templars.

Well here is some pics of some things I have finished and a WIP of my Black Templar painting challenge.

Roden 1/72 Sopwith Camel, made as Billy Barkers machine when he was with 28th sqn in Italy

Allied flying base

Rodens 1/72 Fokker F.1 done as Werner Voss's machine

and on the painted base for the Germans

And here is my shame, my half completed Black Templars for a Bolter and Chainsword Painting Challenge. I could get them done in time, but I am not going to rush a paint job and screw it all up. Besides where is the fun and enjoyment at in stressing and rushing to get done.

Hope you like, more to come soon.

WIP Sopwith Camel

My work in progress 1/72 scale Sopwith Camel from Roden, i will post up some completed pics in a couple days probably. Painting with Valejo, Misterkit and GW acrylic paints. Roden makes some very nice kits for WWI aircraft, if you are in the market for a good kit, check out Roden, highly recommended.

More WWI Aircraft...

I have finished my Sopwith Pup and have finished a Sopwith Snipe now, and am currently working on a Sopwith Camel too. (guess I have a thing for Sopwith planes)

Here are some pics of the Snipe, and I will post up some pics of the finished Pup and the WIP Camel soon.

After the Camel is done, it will be time to get back to work on my fledgling Black Templars army, I have about 1250 pts. built, but not even 500 pts. painted yet. Gotta give time to the Wife and Kids ya know. More to follow soon

Time for something different...

My work in progress(95% complete) 1/72 scale Sopwith Pup, for a game called Blue Max/ Canvas Eagles. Great fun to work on kits like these, especially since these and WWII models is what I grew up on, and these are what got me in to modeling to begin with.
Anyway, the game is great fun, can be played in an hour or so for a single dogfight, or long campaigns or with like 20 people if you have the space and gear for it. To top it all off, the rules and data sheets are all free to download from the designers, check out my links for Canvas Eagles and that will take you to the web site. More to come soon.
